Continuing to steer the team in the right direction, Manzella helped direct the Saints to their best conference record and highest seed in the ECC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. The Saints had five members earn ECC All-Conference recognition as well as having the ECC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year. Manzella also had five student-athletes be named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
In 2023, Manzella led the team to a record of 8-10 and a berth into the ECC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. Under the direction of Manzella, the Saints had the ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, ECC Rookie of the Year, and four ECC All-Conference selections.
The 2022 season was a monumental season as the team earned a berth into the ECC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. The Saints finished the season with a program-best nine wins. Manzella had one player earn ECC First Team All-Conference honors while three others were named ECC Second Team All-Conference.
In 2021, Manzella and the Saints navigated the transition from NCAA DIII to DII, becoming members of the East Coast Conference during a probationary period. Under Manzella's guidance, the Saints had one member named ECC Second Team All-Conference.
2020 saw D'Youville earn three players earn weekly awards from the NEAC and AMCC before the cancelation of the season, as Riley Riedel (Offensive Player of the Week) and Jordyn James (Defensive Player of the Week) swept the weekly awards from both conferences on March 9, while Tiffany Cristofanelli won AMCC Offensive Player of the Week honors the following week.
The 2019 season featured another large step by Manzella's squad, as the team improved to a 7-10 record and narrowly missed the program's first berth into the NEAC postseason. The Red and Black had three players named to All-NEAC Teams, as Megan Dulniak and Julia Prychodko earned Second Team honors while Alison Gareis received a Third Team selection.
In her third season at the helm, the women's lacrosse program took a giant leap forward under Manzella. The team won their first game in program history to start the 2018 season with a 13-3 victory over rival Hilbert, going on to win three additional games. In total, six player were named IWLS Team selections and two earned All-AMCC honors.
Manzella brought to D'Youville a great deal of coaching and playing experience at the collegiate level.
Manzella was the head girl’s lacrosse coach at Nardin Academy from 2007 to 2015. In her time at Nardin, Manzella led the team to multiple winning seasons, including one regular-season championship and three league finals. Since 2013, she has also coached at the youth level, working with girls between the ages of 6-14.
Before Nardin, Manzella was an assistant coach at her Alma mater, Colgate, and helped lead the Raiders to the first-ever Patriot League Tournament, losing in overtime of the semifinals to Lafayette.
During her playing career, Manzella was a standout for the Raiders' women’s lacrosse team. She is a four-time IWLCA All-Northeast Region selection as well as a two-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and the conference's 1997 Rookie of the Year. Manzella was also an All-Patriot League First Team selection three times, was the conference's Most Outstanding Midfielder from 1997 to 1999 and was the league's Most Outstanding Attack Player in 2000. A team captain in 2000, Manzella was named as a member of the Patriot League's 1990s All-Decade Team and finished her career second in program history in goals (159) and points (207).
In September of 2011, Mayhook was honored for her outstanding athletic achievements by her Alma mater as she was inducted into the Colgate Athletic Hall of Honor.
Manzella is also an accomplished marathon runner, competing in the Buffalo Marathon (2002, 2003), Chicago Marathon (2003), Miami Marathon (2007), Niagara Falls Marathon (2012) and Boston Marathon (2014).
Manzella graduated from Colgate with her bachelor's of arts and history.
